Facility is designed to produce up to 4,000 gallons of LNG per day,also is planned to convert the remaining land fill gas to generated 20 mega watts of power for distribution to the Southern California Edison system by 2012. There are no public access only commercial access. The landfill is permitted to receive a daily maximum of 11.500 tons per day and is required to comply with numerous landfill regulation from federal,state, and local regulatory agencies. Frank R.Bowerman land fill opened in 1990 and is scheduled to close in approximately 2053.
